Temperament
Pygmy goats are gentle, easy-to-handle, and inquisitive animals suitable for small farms and families. They are cuddly and often approach people for attention. They thrive in small groups or herds, making them not suitable for solitary pets. It is not known if they are hostile.
Who We Are
We are a group of experienced dairy pygmy goat breeders that have imported pygmy goats from across the country to develop the breed in the USA using a variety of standard sized dairy breeds as our foundation stock. All pygmy goats bred by members of this association will be microchipped. Breeding does (females) and bucks (males) registered with the NPGA Goat Breeders.Our goal is to produce healthy, high-quality pygmy goats that meet breed standards and excel in both conformation and milk production.
Colours & Pattern
Pygmy goats have diverse coloration and patterns, including black and white, brown and white, tan and white, gray and white, solid black, solid brown, spotted/speckled white and brown, and Agouti brown and tan. This diverse appearance makes pygmy goats attractive for small farms and hobby farmers.

Pygmy Paradise
Pygmy Paradise was established in 2009, when our family made the decision to escape to the country. Being avid animal lovers, we were quick to add to our already sizeable menagerie, and of those additions, we included three gorgeous pygmy goats. We were instantly smitten, and it wasn’t long before we were keen to grow our herd and enjoy some bouncing babies of our own. And so, our breeding journey began...
Today, we keep a herd of approximately 25 does and bucks combined, and breeding has become even more exciting for us with the introduction of new imported breeds into the country. Currently, we are developing the US Pygmy Goat for sale in Western America and other parts of the world by way of a genetic recovery program from imported semen. The results speak for themselves, and every year, our kids just keep getting cuter! Or at least, we think so.

History: During their nineteenth-century colonization of western Africa, the British brought dwarf goats from Africa to Europe. They were on display at zoos in Germany and Sweden as unusual animals. These animals were exported to the US, Canada, and Great Britain. They gave rise to the British Pygmy goat for sale breed and the Dutch Dwarf in Europe. In the late 1950s, Cameroon dwarf goats were imported into the US from Europe, and their progeny were sold to zoos, research centers, and private buyers. Australian herds were created using imported embryos and frozen sperm.

Reservations
Limited reservations are available for doe kids, with a new group becoming available every 3-4 weeks after each kidding cycle. You can choose from the available doe kids in the group or wait for the next one if needed. If no does are available at the time of your reservation, you can opt for a refund or apply the deposit to something else.
For adult reservations, ensure that transport arrangements can be made within the agreed timeline before making a deposit. If transport cannot be arranged or the purchase falls through for any reason, deposits are non-refundable. Make sure all details are finalized before placing a deposit.
Kid deposits are non-refundable if a buck or doe kid is matched after birth and transport arrangements cannot be made within the agreed time frame. Kids are typically ready for pick up or delivery at 2-3 weeks old. If unsure about availability for pickup, transport arrangements can be made. Deposits made before a due date is listed indicate availability for pickup when the kid is 2-3 weeks old, regardless of the actual birth date. Kids will be bottle-fed 3 times a day at the time of pickup.
Overall, it is important to ensure all details are finalized before making any deposits for reservations, to avoid non-refundable situations. Communication is key to arranging transport and pickup to ensure a smooth process for both parties.
